◎ Character's Name: Leia Organa Solo
◎ Character's Canon: Star Wars Legends
◎ Character's Age:40yrs
◎ Canon Point: Between Union and Vector Prime. Probably about 2 years after Union.
◎ Background/History: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Leia_Organa_Solo
◎ Is the character a hacker and/or do they have a sixth-sense? She’s something of a hacker, though maybe not as skilled as others. It’s something she has displayed an aptitude for in canon, though. And her sixth sense is very unique. She can see and interact with Force Ghosts through her connection to the Force. Whether that would allow for anything else in the game world, the mods will have to say.
◎ Personality:
Leia can probably best be described as strong willed, determined, resourceful and fiercely devoted to her convictions and her family.
She inherited her father's stubbornness and strong will, but like her mother, she is better at thinking things through and making choices without being reckless. Once she's got her mind set on something, it's a safe bet she'll follow through. She didn't stop until she found Han despite it taking six months of searching and many miles of flying to accomplish it. She can also be strongly defiant, and although she's endured humiliation from incidents like Jabba's palace and a lot of hardships in her life, her fighting spirit is always obvious.
Leia is a woman who is easily able to take care of herself and who should not be underestimated because of her small size. She doesn't take crap from anyone and refuses to be intimidated. She had the mental strength to endure days of torture ordered by Darth Vader, and although she felt immense pain and despair at the destruction of her homeworld, she never gave the information that Vader was looking for. It cannot be said that her experiences have not left their mark on her, but she is not a woman who easily displays it, except on occasion with those she trusts most.
She has a naturally confident and noble bearing, but although she is a princess, she doesn't look down on people or flaunt who she is. She wasn't actually all that happy about being a princess in her youth and was something of a tomboy, sometimes not even being identified as the princess easily. She is certainly very feminine, but she is just as able to get into the thick of the action as her male counterparts.
She's resourceful and intelligent, able to seize on whatever she has to in order to make it through the situation at hand. She's a skilled politician and leader, although she has often found it hard to balance her personal and professional lives. Her relationship with Han has been solid since they married, but staying close to her children has been harder, since she's had to send them off-world to protect them and has found it hard to spend a great deal of time with them. She is also very close to Luke, the brother-sister bond forming easily after they discovered the relationship. Had they not been related, it's possible they may have fallen in love.
Her primary motivator since she was young has been rebellion and liberation; she was raised to value freedom and democracy and to be of strong character fighting against the oppression of the Empire. Her firsthand experiences on the Death Star and the loss of her world and her parents only drove her harder to fight back. Later, she threw herself into helping to build and lead the New Republic as the struggle against Imperial-allied factions and the Sith continued.
Leia has always had a desire to help others, and when she was young, she avoided the political scene in order to do so more. Only later in life in the New Republic did she become known for her political skill and position. She is compassionate and loyal to her family and friends, and does wish she could spend more time as a parent. She's willing to go to any lengths to help and protect the people she is closest to.
Speech-wise, she sometimes comes across as sarcastic and sharp-witted, and she’s just as adept at trading verbal barbs as she is physical ones. Sometimes she still goes back and forth with Han, especially if he’s got her annoyed for some reason. However, her tone is a lot friendlier since they became a couple. She still loves to call him nicknames like ‘nerf herder’ and ‘flyboy’ though.
She’s very close to Luke, sharing a bond with him as a twin. They did seem to be attracted romantically in the beginning, but quickly realized they were better as best friends, despite not knowing they were actually siblings at this time. They missed a lot being separated as children, but have made up for it in recent years, with Luke becoming the most important person in Leia’s life outside her husband and children. She never gives up on him, even when he makes mistakes, and aside from Mara, is probably one of the few who could bring him back from the Dark Side, as seen in Dark Empire. However, Leia also isn’t afraid to call him out if he makes mistakes or does something dumb.
She also has a longtime close friend named Winter, who is something like a sister to her, since they grew up together on Alderaan. Winter still frequently helps the family, watching the kids and even giving a little technological help, and Leia greatly values her friendship.
Leia’s other best friend is Mara, Luke’s wife. Like Han, it took time for Leia to trust the woman who’d once been determined to kill her beloved brother, but Leia was able to see how Mara was changing and evolving, and to accept her relationship with Luke. She was able to see how much in love the two were and to support her brother in marrying her. In time, the two women became friends.
As far as her parents, Leia was very close to her adopted family, even though she often chafed against her father’s need to raise her as a future princess and senator, and ensure that she was prepared for her future duties. The one thing she did dread was that she might not have had the chance to marry for love, but would have been expected by her family to marry someone wealthy and well-connected to secure alliances and produce an heir. Despite that, she misses her adoptive father and mother greatly.
Things with her birth father were rockier, as she had a far more difficult time forgiving Anakin than did Luke, due to what he’d put her through as Vader. At first, she could only see the monster Vader and the fear of her future children following in his footsteps, but once she found her grandmother Shimi’s diary, she realized that he was, indeed, a human being as well, and eventually found it in herself to make peace with him.
As stated, rifts existed for some time between her and Han and the kids, because of the two of them being gone on business or saving the galaxy so many times. However, the kids did slowly come to realize that their parents had done the best they could to protect them, and their relationships did slowly improve. Like Han, Leia did seem to have less tolerance for Jacen after he fell to the Dark Side, though, and both Solos were perhaps too quick to turn on him.
Leia’s stubbornness and dedication to her morals and beliefs have sometimes brought her into conflict with her fellow politicians, as well as occasionally others in the galaxy, and she was never afraid to stand up to the Rebellion brass, the other New Republic leaders, or governments of other systems when she felt it was necessary.
Although she was never as strong in the Force as Luke, and frequently had problems finding time to train due to her political duties, Leia did slowly come to embrace the Jedi path, although at this canon point, she’s still only semi-trained and not fully committed quite yet. Even so, she’s got a link to Luke and the kids, and even with Han, who is not Force-sensitive. She can feel when one of them is in pain or feeling strong emotions, and sometimes experiences physical pain herself through the link.
◎ Powers/Abilities:
Leia is a skilled politician. She was never interested in it much as a girl, but became deeply knowledgeable as an adult. She is a good leader, with tactical and planning skills. She is an expert marksman with a blaster and a competent pilot. She is skilled in combat and self-defense. She speaks Basic and Alderaani, and varying amounts of several other languages due to things like her extensive government work and being with Han, who’s taught her bits and pieces of Correlian, and Chewbacca, who only speaks Shryiiwook.
Leia’s Force powers are more basic at the time she’s pulled, as she has not yet trained as a Jedi. She can communicate telepathically with her brother and other force users like her children. Although she can do a sort of mind reading if she chooses, she is like many other light side users in that she will not usually probe another being’s mind without permission. She can use telekinesis to move and control objects but has trouble with levitation. She has basic lightsaber skill, but nowhere near as well as Luke at this point. She can enter battle meditation and force melds with other force users to boost their stamina (battle meditation) and join minds to help them. (Force meld). She can sense the presences and emotions of other force users and can boost her own movements with a force jolt. She can also use a force flash to blind things like cameras so they will not record until she stops the flash,
◎ Weapons & Other Special Inventory: She does have a lightsaber given to her by her brother Luke, and probably a blaster, a weapon she’s often known to carry. A family photo, vibroblade.
CEREALIA-Specific
◎ Element: Fire. Leia is strong and courageous and passionate about her beliefs. She does have her father’s temper in her, but enough of her mother not to be reckless.

[Leia still looks a little overwhelmed, as she's still trying to come to terms with this place, and everything she's learned so far, but at the same time, she's strong, determined. It's her nature, it's how she's always been. She is hiding a lot of troubled emotion, hoping that it isn't entirely true that her world is gone. Losing Alderaan was enough; she can't bear the thought of losing the whole galaxy.]
I've learned what I can from what I've been told by my husband and the informaton we all probably recieved on arrival, but it's still a lot to take in. I miss my home, but I'm glad that if I have to be here, at least I'm not alone. I'll try to get to know as many of the rest of you as I can as well. For those who haven't met me, my name is Leia Organa Solo, chief of the New Republic in my world. I'm not sure that has a lot of meaning anymore, but I still consider it part of who I am.
I won't give up hope of finding a way out of here, but while I'm staying here, I intend to do whatever I can to help make it a better place. If there's a leadership position that becomes available, I'll consider stepping into it if it will make it possible to help us here. If not, I'll simply do my best to help out where I can. I only hope I can do some good while I'm here.
◎ Third-Person Sample:
Leia had a lot of thoughts running through her mind as she watched the kids play in one of the outside areas of the colony. The colony was a comfortable place, at least, with some things that even reminded her a little of home. Han being here was a big comfort and she was grateful that at least she wasn’t trapped here alone. She could handle herself all right on her own if she had to, but having her husband with her was still a good thing.
Still, she wasn’t happy with being brought here against her will. It had been said she’d been ‘rescued’ from some kind of corrupt coding, but she didn’t completely understand the technical terms involved. All she did know is that she hadn’t asked to come here and that there had to be a way to get herself and Han back to their own world. Between Han’s explanations and her own intuition, she knew they were probably being lied to about a lot of things, including possibly the ‘rescue’, but finding the truth would take time.
Leia was determined to try and find a way back home, but she knew that couldn’t be her only focus. If she couldn’t go back home for now, she was also going to see where she could get involved here, to try and help make this place better, not just for herself and Han, but for everyone else here as well. It was her nature to try and help others however she could in whatever situation she found herself in. She was a natural leader, and would gladly take on such a role if it were possible, but if not; she’d help in whatever way she could.
To her surprise, Han wasn’t alone here. He’d adopted three kids, making them not just a couple, but a family. He was a great father to them, which she’ already known him to be from his interactions with the kids back home. She remembered when he’d told her about them and introduced her to them.
“It just confirms what I’ve known for a long time” she told him. “That under that scruffy scoundrel exterior, there is a nice man with a good heart. And it just makes me love you even more.”
Leia suspected he’d taken them in because he had been an orphan himself, and he knew too well what it was like to be alone. Leia herself settled naturally into the mother role, pretty much as she had with her own brood, and she had a feeling she’d soon come to love the kids as her own. It was hard, though not to wonder about the implications if they did find a way get back. Would there be a way to bring the kids with them? She knew Han loved them and wouldn’t want to leave them, but what if they couldn’t go back? Naturally, she also couldn’t help missing their own kids back home, and she thought about them a lot, wondering when she’d finally see them again.
And then there was Kylo. His existence made her wonder about a lot of things. It was obvious he wasn’t Jacen or Anakin, so somehow, they must have had another child later on; it was the only thing that made sense. He seemed to be the personification of her fears, the constant worry she’d struggled with about losing a child to the Dark Side. Leia knew they were good parents, so how had it happened? It hurt her to think about it, and only made her more determined to find a way to reach Kylo and bring him back.
Leia was drawn out of her thoughts at the sound of laughter, and spotted Han and the three kids playfully roughhousing. “You’re a natural, you know that? Sometimes I think you’re just a big kid yourself at times.” She said with a laugh.
